MORE ABOUT ME

As a photographer, I view the world through a creative lens by focusing on the true beauty of our world which enables me to share it with others.  So many of us look - but do not truly see - until a picture is captured for us to study in detail.   Therefore, I am always searching for more opportunities to explore further, continue growing and expanding my skill set so I can share my findings with others. 

I grew up on a small tobacco farm in North Carolina.  We never took any vacations and my venue was basically limited to the farm. As a child I learned to appreciate nature and animals first hand.  I have always been amazed at the creation we have been given and how there is beauty in everything if we slow down to the speed of life and appreciate our gift.  I feel we can do this by focusing on the simple buffet of life which surrounds us on a daily basis. 

Unfortunately, the world has become an interstate of fast lanes rather than slow country roads.  The realization that many people never look up or down but straight ahead has given me the incentive to capture and share my creations. 

My favorite subjects are flowers, historical architecture, waterscapes and landscapes. I find that by capturing a moment in time my soul is fed.  I am grounded when I focus on the gifts our world gives us each day starting with beautiful sunrises, ending in beautiful sunsets and everything else in between!  I find tremendous satisfaction in sharing my findings and hope you will take a moment to smell the flowers and enjoy the sunrise!
